Hey, while I’m working on it a little bit deeper, I found this function can replace some line of codes above (at least in WordPress 3, I haven’t checked it in other versions):

Country specific really is inferior. Plus I thought the whole point of Google is that the USER gets to choose what they want to search for and now. The old google.com has the features i am used to. Being forced into redirection to my country everytime I do a search is frustrating.

Plus it’s insulting to me for a site to insist that I can’t possibly know what I want. If I type it, I want it, no redirection please.

I’m trying to set up AskApache, but the radio buttons for Authentication Scheme and Encryption Preferences are greyed out. If I save the settings anyway, the .htpasswda3 file gets created, but there is no password information in it.

How do I resolve this?

Thanks, this is usefull for implementing custom register/login pages in WordPress. Currently I’m creating a plugin that required those functionlities, glad I found it here.

This tutorial was helpful, but I’m not able to get a rewrite done on my site.

In essence here is what I want to happen:

301 redirect http://sub.domain.com/tag/t/

…to…

http://domain.com/tag/t/

Can anyone share how to do this exactly? (this is all on a wordpress site)

I was using “./” without quotes, but after upgrading to version 3.0, it doesn’t work anymore, so fix_slash function was the best solution.
I only modified functions.php and it works again like a charm

Man,
This is really working.

I was using “./” ( without quotes ) as my category base to remove it, and it was working fine before I upgrade to wordpress 3.0 .

But after upgrading , this “./” ( again, without quotes ) doesn’t work anymore, so , fix_slash function was the only and the best solution I found.

BTW: I only modified functions.php…. Only!
My htaccess file is wordpress default htaccess file.
I mean, I didn’t make any other modification you mentioned, just added the fix_slash fucntion, and Voilaaaa, it works.
